Dare To Be Different
Happy New Year! Yes, I know I am a few days late, lol. That is intentional on my part. I have never been one to follow the crowd, thanks to my mom. Yeah, the quote, is my mom's. When I and my siblings were in elementary school, she would write on the side of our text books, "Dare To Be Different". I was horrified and did my best to hide my books. Isn't school the place where you just try and blend in?! As the years went by, that phrase would shape my life in ways I would not have imagined as a child.
So, here I am today, "Daring To Be Different" . Chatting you up about choosing to take a walk on the wild side. Did you make a New Years resolution? Just a few days into the year and how is it going? Not quite working for you? I could have told you that last year! Resolutions, by design, are destined for failure. Here's why... You have the end as your beginning. There is a lot of life between the start and finish of something. There are things to be considered, goals to be set, obstacles to be identified and navigated. That is why I became a Life Coach! I love new beginnings that have happy endings. Helping people just like you discover the life you are living doesn't need to be rescued, just re-imagined.
How about you "Dare To Be Different", and instead of a New Years resolution, you set a New Years beginning?
In my next blog, I want to share with you the story of a gal who chose to "Unpack Her Life". So put on the coffee, get into your comfy clothes, and meet me back here next Thursday!
PS: If you would, please leave a comment, thought, challenge, or insight. Your story may just be the thing that motivates somebody to to step out and go for it.
